I am a registered Social Worker dedicated to supporting first responders. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by active and retired members.
I have a wealth of knowledge, insight and experience with first responder's culture. My background is with work-related injuries such as WSIB, OSI, PTSD, moral injury and stigma within the work place. I also work with personal challenges such as anger/irritability, stress and anxiety.
I provide a multitude of therapies that address work related and personal trauma. Sessions are grounded in a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth. I welcome the opportunity to work with you on your healing journey and path to well-being.
Everything you discuss in therapy is private and confidential, with a few exceptions. A record of each session is maintained and only you, as the client, has access to the file, without your written consent. There are a few exceptions to this rule, including:
Social work services are generally covered under first responders benefit packages. Please check your coverage to see if your benefits will cover a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW). Social work/therapy expenses are recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency as a medical expense for income tax purposes.
I provide a range of services such as individual therapy sessions, WSIB therapy sessions (under the direction of a Register Psychologist) and trauma based therapy sessions. In person and virtual sessions available.
I am located in Barrie, Ontario for in office sessions. I am available for virtual sessions throughout the province of Ontario.
